Who can apply to be a Tennessee Exemplary Educator?
Applicants shall
Possess personal integrity
Have knowledge and understanding of current education practice in Tennessee
Hold valid Tennessee certification
Have a minimum of 5 years experience as an educator
Have experience as an educator within the last 5 years
Be willing to travel
Additionally, applicants should demonstrate the ability to
Understand and use qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategic plans
Use good judgment when helping schools identify and solve problems
Work collaboratively with peers
Mentor and provide leadership
Model effective organizational and classroom practices
Use technology
